LaRose Financial was a fictional client in which the student had to redesign a historic firehouse into an office suite. The complete design process was used during this project. Knoll products were used throughout the office building. Also, the original garage doors, spiral staircase, and interior brick were preserved. This was designed in the Spring of 2010. The goal was to create a collaborative and individual study floor in a University library. All products used are sustainable and mobile. Shown is the floor plan, a perspective, a section of the whole floor and a view of the cafe.

Restaurant and Store Planning

This was a group project specifically for the remodel of the existing Golf Pro Shop on the college campus. Spacial requirements were incorporated as well as commercial codes. custom designs were a part of the design in terms of the reception center, the cafe bar, and a display case seen in the first perspective. This project was done in Fall of 2009. Shown is the floor plan, the lighting plan, and three perspectives.

Residential Architectural Drawing

In the Fall of 2009, this course covered residential drawings on AutoCAD from the foundation plan to the roof plan. Designing a custom house and all the drawing with it took place over the semester. The video includes the floor plans, a perspective of the living room and exterior elevations.

Furniture Detail and Design

This course introduced the mechanics of designing furniture. Joints and assembly were researched and two projects were assigned to design a custom built piece of furniture, residential and commercial. Shown is a residential armoire furniture design. This course was taken in the Fall of 2009.

Traditional Interiors

Taken in the Spring of 2009 this course focused on design according to traditional styles. Styles of the 1700's to the 1900's were researched. Shown first is an assignment of window treatments of two different periods: Renaissance Revival and Rococo Revival. The larger project is a redesign of a bank building into a University Career Center. Drawings include: schematics, a finished floor plan, and a perspective of the waiting area.

Residential Interiors

In this course we focused on just residential design. We paired up with a partner, which in turn was our client. Interviews were conducted on what type of duplex was desired and what they would like the functions to include, ranging from ability to entertain to privacy of the master bedroom. Their style and personality were also considered in the process of designing the duplex. This course was taken in the Fall of 2008. Viewed are floor plans, lighting and ceiling plans, a model from foam core, and a perspective of the living room.

Presentation Techniques

Taken in Fall 2008, this studio was an introduction to rendering interior spaces, and presentation skills. We used different marker rendering techniques on multiple paper types with various design assignments. first you will view an assignment with a set floor plan. It's focus was on designing for a client with a specific collection (Tiffany Lamps). Next are rendered copies of magazine photographs. The last was an exercise in rendering different textures and materials.
